The post-holder will work closely with and report to the Placement & Training Manager across the range of activities covered by the post.

The working relationships and purpose of this role are to coordinate and support individuals participating in supported placements across New Start Highland. The Supported Placement Coordinator will provide one-to-one support, helping participants develop confidence, skills and experience while working towards their personal and employability goals.

The role will work closely with referral agencies, participants and operational teams to ensure placements are appropriately matched, effectively supported and successfully monitored. The post holder will be passionate about enabling people to reach their potential and committed to delivering positive outcomes through patient, empathetic and person-centred support.

  • Participants receive high-quality, person-centred support throughout their placement.
  • Positive participant progression outcomes including increased confidence, skills development and movement towards employment, volunteering or further training.
  • Strong relationships maintained with referral agencies and stakeholders.
  • Accurate and timely participant records maintained.
  • Session plans, support records and progress reports kept up to date.

  • Delivering one-to-one support to participants undertaking supported placements across a range of departments.
  • Coordinating referrals and liaising with referral agencies regarding new and existing placements.
  • Supporting participants to identify and work towards individual goals and development opportunities.
  • Monitoring participant progress throughout placements and providing appropriate support where required.
  • Recording participant information accurately and maintaining up-to-date session plans and support records.
  • Working collaboratively with operational teams to ensure placements provide meaningful experiences and opportunities for development.
  • Promoting participant wellbeing, confidence and independence.
  • Supporting the successful completion of placements and progression into volunteering, training or employment opportunities.
  • Provide regular one-to-one support sessions with participants.
  • Assist participants to identify personal goals and create action plans to support their development.
  • Monitor participant progress and identify any barriers to successful placement outcomes.
  • Work with participants to develop confidence, employability skills and workplace behaviours.
  • Liaise with referral agencies regarding participant referrals, progress updates and support requirements.
  • Facilitate reviews and feedback sessions with participants and relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate participant records, attendance information and case notes using organisational systems.
  • Ensure session plans and participant support documentation are regularly reviewed and updated.
  • Support participants to access additional services and opportunities where appropriate.
  • Contribute to reporting requirements and provide information on participant outcomes and progression.
  • Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion throughout all aspects of the role.
