Our training service offers a supportive environment in which people can develop skills and themselves in preperation for the job market

Some of the recognised certificated training on offer includes PAT test certificates, Fork lift training, Health and Safety courses and Basic Food Hygiene courses.

One of our trainees has been with New Start for nearly 2 years. He initally started volunteering through New Deal and now has a full time job.

"At first I was nervous and like, but the people were friendly and treated me well. There is good 'craic'  in the warehouse. I have carried on at New Start as the people are very supportive, a good laugh and it feels pretty good getting to help lots of people. Working at New Start has made a big difference to my life. It has helped me to calm down and be serious about work though it still gives me the freedom to be my cheeky self within reason. The people are very encouraging and I am alot more confident now. I have alot more to put on my CV now, responsibilty for stock control systems, management experience, along with working with vulnerable people."
