VOLUNTEERING WITH NEW START HIGHLAND
Do you have spare time on your hands? Would you like to meet new people, make new friends, develop new skills and make a huge difference to the community while you do these things? Here at New Start, we have many opportunities. Whether you are able to come along for a couple of hours or for the day you will be most welcome and we will be really grateful for your help. Here are some opportunities that we have available:- Store Person- Helping with loading and unloading of the vehicles. Cleaning the donations brought into the building, so that they are ready to go out as a delivery. If you are interested there may be the opportunity to get your fork lift licence.
There are so many opportunities! This is a great way back into work whether you have been out of work looking after the children, though illness or for any other reason, volunteering gets you back on track, learning new skills and gaining confidence. We will of course help you as much as we can to find employment if you wish, and give you a reference. You may of course be retired, on holiday from college or university or just simply wish to come and spend some of your free time helping others. You will be welcome what ever your reason. Millennium Volunteer Award Scheme is open to all volunteers between the ages of 16 and 25, presenting awards at three different levels. Tea and coffee are available at all times. Lunch is provided for volunteers who work the whole day. Expenses will be reimbursed for travel.
